Learning at Olivine School
We provide a nurturing and dynamic learning environment for children aged 2 to 15 years, Playgroup, kindergarten, Primary to Junior School. We prepare students to thrive in a changing world.
Christian Thematic Approach
We use monthly Christian themes to develop activities that are hands on, interactive, fun and meet the goal of our school in using biblical principles in character building.
Individualized Attention
Our classrooms are supported by two teachers who work collaboratively to engage small groups and provide individualized attention. We incorporate tailored approach for struggling learners under our Olivine Learning Support Program (OLSP).
Multiple Intelligence Approach
The Multiple Intelligence (MI) is based on a believe that there exists a multitude of intelligences, quite independent of each other and that each intelligence has its own strengths and constraints. We incorporate all the 9 MI through tasks and activities in the classrooms. Multiple Intelligence Approach they include these learners; verbal/ linguistic, logical/ mathematical, visual/ spatial musical/ rhythmic, bodily / kinesthetic, naturalist, intrapersonal, interpersonal and existential. In our daily lessons we captured the three types of learners; the visual, the auditory and the kinesthetic.
Innovative Programs
Our programs are geared towards bringing up your child to fit into the 4th industry revolution, incorporate critical thinking in our daily interaction on with the learners by offering learning opportunity, where the teacher is a facilitator and the learner given the chance to ask the “why” Children are allowed to engage in reflection and inquisition, Constant Connection and collaboration
Differentiated Learning
Differentiated Learning is effective instruction that is responsive to students’ readiness, interests and learning preferences. This enables learners to build new learning through connections to existing knowledge and preferred ways of working with concepts, interests and learning preferences. Our teachers use a repertoire of instructional and assessment strategies to meet the needs of different learners.
