Life at Olivine School
Our school offers a mix of large spaces (indoor play space and outdoor play space) for group learning and several smaller age-specific classrooms for age-appropriate learning so your child gains social skills as they develop academically.
School Hours
The school day starts at 8:00 and ends at 4:00. Students are expected to arrive to school between 7:00-7:55 so that they are prepared to begin instruction promptly at 8:00 am. Buses leave school at 4:20 pm.
- Early Years school day starts at 8.00am and ends at 2.00pm.
- After school activities run on a schedule that varies according to grade level and activity.
- The school is generally open from 7:00 – 5.30, Monday-Friday.
- OS School only provides After-School Supervision (ASS) for students enrolled in an after-school activity.
School Transportation
Olivine School, has routes to many parts of Mombasa County. The school reserves the right to refuse service to any part of town that is impractical because of its location relative to other pick-up points. The school reserves the right to suspend or remove students from the bus service should they not adhere to the rules.
- Student safety is our number one concern regarding transportation.
- Violations of school transport expectations could result in disciplinary action consistent with OS policies.

School Meals
Meals at Olivine School is provided for all students. The menu is available on parent’s whatsapp groups weekly. Our cooks prepare menus that are well balanced and nutritional, with wholesome nutrients to help them grow strong, healthy and happy. For students not taking meals from school, arrangements have to be in-place to have such meals arriving 1 hour to lunch time,
OS school lunches always include:
- one or more portions of fruit and vegetables every day
- one or more portions of starchy food, such as rice, spaghetti, chips or ugali every day
- a portion of beef /meat, fish or poultry on 3 or more days each week.
